Microsoft has announced new integration features for Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Teams to enhance collaboration, streamline communication, and improve data sharing.

Microsoft reported that Teams had over 1,100 third-party apps and integrations available in its app store, up from just 150 in 2018. (Source: Microsoft)

Business Central Data Access in Teams

After the update, Teams users will soon have access to Business Central data even if they don’t have a Dynamics 365 license.

Data access will be managed through administrative tools and permissions.

The integration is possible with Microsoft’s Context IQ, which improves collaboration and data sharing between Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365.

Auto-Summarize Conversations in Teams-Based Collaboration

From now on, Dynamics 365 Customer Service agents can auto-summarize conversations with the customer and share lead history with colleagues more efficiently.

Embedded Microsoft Teams Chat

With embedded Teams chat, Customer Service users can link chats to their records, including sales opportunities and service cases.

Continued integration between Teams and Dynamics 365 will bring increased productivity, streamlined communication, and enhance customer experience.

This integration will make the decision-making process more informed with easy data access and sharing.
