Digital Power: How Microsoft Dynamics 365 is Transforming the Morshyn Mineral Water Factory
Recognizing the scale and significance of its role in manufacturing and distributing an essential product, the company set the goal of fundamentally changing its approach to business process management. First and foremost, 1C — the system previously used at the enterprise — could not solve the problem of unifying all stages within a single transparent system. This is what motivated the choice of a more global Western system, as it would bring the entire enterprise ecosystem closer to international standards.
To replace the old system, IDS Ukraine selected Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations — a modern ERP platform that ensures financial transparency, resource optimization, and a unified ecosystem for managing production and logistics.
To implement this large-scale project, IDS Ukraine entrusted the deployment to OntargIT — recognized professionals in business digital transformation and a certified Microsoft partner, a top expert in implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations at Ukrainian and international enterprises.
Given the scale of the task, the IDS Ukraine solution is being implemented in stages, with two key projects already successfully completed. The following are now operational: the previously mentioned AI ERP Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, and a customized “HR & Payroll” module that unifies HR processes and automates payroll calculations.
The successful case at the Myrhorod plant became the foundation for further transformation at the Morshynska production facility.
The ERP implementation project at the Myrhorod mineral water plant — lasting 9 months — was completed on April 1, 2025, and included the following stages: detailed analysis and unification of business processes between enterprises; creation of a target model and solution architecture; prototyping and testing; staff training; acceptance testing and final data migration — typical steps for transitioning to Microsoft systems.
Key challenges affecting both plants:
- Unification of accounting and management methodology, which differed across IDS Ukraine group enterprises.
- Complete adaptation of reference books and classifiers to Dynamics 365 standards, as well as accurate migration of historical data (balances, stocks, nomenclature, archives).
As a result, extended production accounting functions were developed, transport logistics was improved, and financial modules were adapted to Ukrainian tax legislation.
Within the framework of the project at the Myrhorod mineral water plant, a standard production ERP configuration was created, which became the base model for further scaling. This very solution formed the foundation for the next stage — replicating the system at the Morshyn mineral water plant, opening the way to unifying business processes across the entire IDS Ukraine group.
However, despite the analogous goals and challenges at both plants, the Morshynska production facility has one major distinction – scale of the enterprise.
The system at the Morshyn plant covers approximately 500 nomenclature units — compared to just seven at the Myrhorod plant, which became a real challenge for the OntargIT team during the adaptation of ERP solutions to the scale of Morshynska’s production. This feature of the project proves: despite a common architecture and business needs, each implementation has its own unique features and individual configurations.
That is why a sequential approach — first launching the system at a smaller plant, then scaling and moving to a larger one — allows the ERP launch process at each subsequent enterprise to be optimized.
The technical team at the Morshyn plant also received an individualized approach from IDS Ukraine. Using the experience gained while working with the transformed Myrhorod enterprise, the holding actively shares knowledge with its employees, who began working in the new ERP system in January 2026.
The IDS Ukraine team is now fully involved in the rollout at the second plant, and thanks to the processes already developed and experience gained at the first plant, this stage has become more efficient. This approach highlights how valuable and useful the knowledge acquired during the Myrhorod plant deployment has been for the company.
Foresighted preparation and the transfer of practical experience provide confidence that work at the final stage will be no less successful, as in the 3rd stage IDS Ukraine had the opportunity to connect to the system rollout with its own experienced personnel.

The successful completion of the large-scale ERP system implementation at the Myrhorod mineral water plant created the necessary standard production configuration, which became the model and foundation for further scaling. The final launch of the ERP system at the Morshyn plant will open the way to complete unification of business processes across the entire IDS Ukraine group. The completion of this key stage should confirm the possibility of successfully adapting an international ERP platform to the unique production realities of Ukraine. Thus, the cooperation between IDS Ukraine and OntargIT will complete the creation of a unified, transparent, and managed corporate ecosystem that will strategically strengthen the company’s market position and its readiness for further development.
