Microsoft Build, an annual event, has recently announced various significant advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
A key development was the expansion of the AI plugin ecosystem, with Microsoft adopting OpenAI’s open plugin standard for ChatGPT, ensuring compatibility with Bing, Dynamics 365 Copilot, and Microsoft 365 Copilot. Additionally, Bing has integrated with ChatGPT as the default search experience.
Microsoft 365 Copilot from now on accommodates a wider range of plugins, with over 50 available from partners during the early access program.
Also were introduced The Azure AI Studio and Azure Machine Learning prompt flow, providing developers with improved tools for integrating external data sources into the Azure OpenAI Service.
Among other major updates, during Microsoft Build, Microsoft revealed Microsoft Fabric, a unified analytics platform embedded with Azure OpenAI Service, and announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to accelerate enterprise-ready generative AI.
Microsoft Dev Box received developer-friendly upgrades such as new customization features, and a new developer hub called Dev Home was launched on Windows 11, simplifying connections to GitHub and cloud development environments.
