Microsoft has recently made some exciting announcements regarding their Copilot service. They have introduced new updates that offer more options for users who wants to improve their Copilot experience. These updates include a new premium subscription Copilot Pro, the general availability of the Copilot app for iOS and Android phones, and Copilot for Microsoft 365 will be available to businesses of all sizes, including small- and medium-sized businesses.

Microsoft Copilot updates: Copilot Pro

A new subscription delivers the most advanced features and capabilities of Microsoft Copilot to individuals for even greater performance, productivity, and creativity.

Copilot Pro provides:

  • A single AI experience that runs across your devices to bring the right skills to you when you need them.

  • Access to Copilot in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote. Available on PC, Mac, and iPad for Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers. Support for iPhone and Android is coming soon. For OneNote users, Copilot Pro benefits will only be visible in Windows.

  • Priority access to the very latest models – starting today with OpenAI’s GPT-4 Turbo. Even during peak times for faster performance and, coming soon, the ability to toggle between models to optimize your experience how you choose.

  • Image Creator from Designer (formerly Bing Image Creator) has been improved to provide higher quality images in landscape format with 100 boosts per day.

  • The ability to build your own Copilot GPT – a customized Copilot tailored for a specific topic with the upcoming Copilot GPT Builder. Just a few prompts and you’re done!

You can subscribe to Copilot Pro today for $20 per month/user.

If you have a Microsoft 365 Family subscription, each member still will need to buy their own Copilot Pro subscription to use Copilot in the Microsoft 365 apps.

Copilot Pro is currently available in Austria, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, and the United States. Microsoft plans to make Copilot Pro available in more markets soon.

Copilot Pro supports such languages as English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish. With more languages to add soon.

  • 300-seat purchase minimum removed for commercial plans and making Copilot available for Office 365 E3 and E5 customers. (A Microsoft 365 license was previously required).

Additional new features in Copilot:

  • Microsoft Copilot is introducing a new feature called Copilot GPTs. This feature allows you to customize the behavior of Copilot on a specific topic of your interest. Today, a few Copilot GPTs will be rolled out with specific themes such as fitness, travel, cooking, and more. Copilot Pro users will soon be able to create their own Copilot GPTs using Copilot GPT Builder. We will keep you informed as we get closer to the availability of this feature.
  • The Copilot app is now available for both Android and iOS devices. With the Copilot mobile app, you can use Copilot on the go and your Copilot queries and chats will sync between your phone and PC. The app provides the same features and capabilities as the PC version. Including access to GPT-4 and Dall-E3 for image creation. You can also use images from your phone while chatting with Copilot.

  • Microsoft is introducing Copilot in its Microsoft 365 mobile app for Android and iOS users who have a Microsoft account. This feature will be available over February 2024. With Copilot, you can easily create content and export it to a Word or PDF document directly from the app.
